Would you like to hold a fundraising event in aid of Chernobyl Children International? Through the fundraising efforts of the thousands of individuals in Ireland and abroad, we can develop and grow our many projects and programmes and make a very real difference to a child's life in the Chernobyl regions.

There are hundreds of ways to raise money for our important work: fun-runs, bake sales, fashion shows, raffles and more. Every little bit helps: just €20 will buy a food hamper for a family in need; €1,000 will pay for life-saving heart surgery for young child; and €50,000 will pay for the refurbishment of a loving foster home for 10 orphaned children!

Have a Hearty Breakfast for the Hearts of Chernobyl

Would you like to have a Hearty Breakfast for the Hearts of Chernobyl? If so why not join Chernobyl Children International (CCI) with a bowl of Flahavan’s Porridge and raise much needed funds for our Summer Child Cardiac Surgery Programme. Friday April 26 marks the 27^th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

We are appealing to all creches, schools and companies to support our work by signing up to our Hearty Breakfast campaign. Flavahans are very kindly donating porridge to all our participants which will be delivered directly to your door. We acknowledge that times are difficult for everybody but we would ask that a donation box be placed in your crèche/school/office on the day and remember every little helps!

The heart is one of the organs most vulnerable to the effects of radiation, and every year, 6,000 children in the Ukraine are born with genetic heart diseases and defects such as “Chernobyl Heart’’. CCI manages and delivers a world-recognised Child Cardiac Surgery Programme that has saved the lives of thousands of children. Nadia was one of the lucky children to receive a life-saving operation and is now a happy and healthy little girl.

Chocolates for Chernobyl - Buy a heart, save a heart

Áine's Chocolates and Cavan Box have come on board with Chernobyl Children International to help raise vital funds for our Child Cardiac Surgery Programme. Each pack of 2 delicious, heart shaped chocolates costs €2. Here are some of the creative ways our volunteers have raised funds for our programs:

The Templemore student gardai abseiled from the top of Ireland’s tallest building
A group of Irish students cycled from Dublin to Cork wearing Santa Claus costumes
Helena Christensen hosted the “World’s Greatest Catwalk” on the streets of Copenhagen, encouraging shopkeepers to donate 1 percent of the day’s sales to CCI
The Bray, Ireland Outreach Group held a Valentine’s Dinner Dance with all proceeds going to CCI

The Camp Claddagh Outreach Group organised the Galway Bay Seafront May Day Health Walk, an 8km fun walk for all the family
Just Mobile, an Irish prepaid mobile network, sponsored a programme where 1c of every minute of every customer’s call could be donated to CCI
Fiona Byrne, a candidate from hit television show, “Do the Right Thing,” held a Quiz Night, with all proceeds going to CCI and the Little Hearts Indian Orphanage
