Humanitarian

Chernobyl Children International are heavily engaged in a whole number of Humanitarian efforts, aside from our various medical, community and construction based programmes.

We provide physical aid to some of the most deprived regions of the effected Chernobyl area, giving those suffering the effects of the disaster a means to survive in some of the most horriffic conditions.

  • Aid Direct

    The Chernobyl disaster devastated the economy of Belarus, costing billions of dollars in cleanup and lost productivity while leaving its inhabitants displaced, without arable land and ravaged with radiation sickness and disease.

    Chernobyl was the biggest nuclear disaster the world has ever seen, releasing 200 times the radiation collectively produced by the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
