Most importantly, CCI volunteers have opened their arms to these vulnerable children and shown them that they are not forgotten, that the outside world sees their suffering and is committed to helping them build better, healthier, more hopeful futures. On this, the 25th anniversary of the tragedy, it’s more important than ever to show the children of Chernobyl that they are still in our minds and our hearts.
