We are incredibly proud to announce that our long-standing, dedicated volunteer team George and  Mary Sugrue have won the Social Work and Social Inclusion Category at the Volunteer Ireland Awards on Friday 01 December 2017.

The awards recognise volunteers all over Ireland and we are deeply honoured to count this volunteer couple amongst our incredible army of volunteers.

Congratulations and well done to all volunteers recognised at the event in Sligo. Thank you to the Sugrues for their immeasurable contribution to the lives of children living in the shadow of Chernobyl.

George and Mary are also nominated for this year’s Community Hero Award at the Charity Impact Awards, which will be held in Dublin on 13 December.
