It is with great sorrow that CCI has learned of the death of long-standing CCI Volunteer, Helen Roche.

On behalf of all at Chernobyl Children International, our Voluntary CEO Adi Roche has expressed heartfelt condolences to Helen’s husband Marcus, Helen’s sisters and her extended family.

Helen was a larger-than-life, fun-loving person, full of compassion and love. A valued and treasured volunteer for many years, during which she instrumented pioneering work for the rights and welfare of the children of Chernobyl. Her open-heart and caring soul left a profound impact on all those who knew and loved her.

Helen was a loving, sincere and wise person and my life has been richer for knowing her. Her compassion and kindness has helped so many innocent children, and her legacy will be one of love.
