Chernobyl Children International are deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Jack (Sean) Fahy, a stalwart volunteer and friend who dedicated his life to making this a better world for those in need.

Amongst other remarkable contributions, Jack proudly led one of CCI’s largest aid convoys across Europe under the UN flag that he had brought home from serving as an Irish Peacekeeper. He safely delivered millions of euro worth of aid to children and families and led his fellow aid workers home. He was a credit to the Defence Forces, his family and friends.   Devoted husband of Sheila and loving father of Máirtín, Brian, Deirdre and Shane, he will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Jack’s legacy will be one of love, compassion and hope.  May he Rest in Peace.
